Product Sourcing Made Simple – This is what we do!
The first step of the manufacturing sourcing process is having engineering drawings to quote your parts. If you don’t already have engineering drawings for your product, our team of engineers can help with this step and we can put together a manufacturing package for your product with engineering drawings and tollerancing. It is important to have engineering tolerance drawings to submit to the factory and to make sure you’re getting accurate pricing from factories and you have specifications to hold the factory to during manufacturing. If you need assistance with this area check out our Product Engineering page.

We help you to find the right factory to fit your project in terms of their manufacturing experience, their production capacity, and manufacturing equipment.
3. Order
We can assist you in submitting your PO to your chosen manufacturer. This can include tooling and actual production runs.
4. First Article Samples
The first samples of the sourced product are sent to us for an engineering review then shipped to you for your approval prior to production. Sometimes issues can arise and a first article sample doesn’t turn out exactly as you hoped. This is part of the reason the manufacturing drawings are so important. We have experience sorting out issues in manufacturing and ensuring that your product is manufactured to spec. We also have experience giving advice to factories on mold modifications to improve the repeatability of your product and resolve molding defects.
5. Mass Production and In-Process Inspections for Manufacturing Sourcing
Once you’ve approved your first article samples, mass production is scheduled. If you’d like to have in-production inspections, we can help to facilitate this.
6. Final Inspection
After production is finished we can arrange a final inspection either virtually or with an in person inspector.
7. Shipping, Logistics, and Freight Forwarding
We have experience arranging shipping from your factory to your warehouse and can help support and book freight forwarders and explore shipping solutions on your behalf to handle the logistics. We can help to sort out any shipping delays or issues that arise so that your shipment arrives as quickly as possible.
8. Customs and Duty
There are necessary import taxes in the form of customs duty that are charged when products are imported from other countries. These duties depend on what item you are importing. These duty tax rates vary greatly from 0% to 100% of the cost of the product, but are typically between 5% and 35%. The duty percentage can even depend on what country you are importing from. We have experience in this area and can help you filling out the appropriate paper work to ensure that you are importing your product with the correct duty rate.
9. Delivery
The last step is the delivery of the product to your chosen warehousing facility. Now you’re ready to sell!
